Shipping & Delivery

Estimated ship date

The acknowledged ship date is an estimate and may change during production. SurfaceWorks is not responsible for labor, expedited freight, furniture rental, or other costs caused by a changed ship date.

Scheduled or guaranteed delivery

Scheduled delivery is not included in standard delivered pricing. It may be requested for an added expedite charge. If the guaranteed delivery is missed, reimbursement is limited to the expedite charge.

U.S. freight

Orders under $5,000 list may incur shipping and handling up to $175 net for mainland U.S. destinations. For Alaska, Hawaii, and similar destinations, freight is prepaid only to the mainland point of exit; ocean freight is excluded.

Canada freight

Orders under $5,000 list may incur shipping and handling up to $250 net, or as specified by dealer agreement, for listed Canadian provinces and regions. Other destinations require a quote. Delivered pricing includes customs duties and brokerage for import into Canada but excludes GST, PST, and HST. Prices and payments are in U.S. dollars; Canadian-dollar payment adds 30%.

Other destinations

International freight is prepaid to the port of export. Brokerage fees and customs duties outside the U.S. and Canada are not included.

Freight damage and claims

Inspect all cartons at delivery and note damage on the carrier receipt. Report visible or concealed damage and shortages within three days. Retain packaging and contents and submit the SurfaceWorks Claims Request form with required photographs.

Damaged or defective on arrival

Do not install damaged or defective products. Installation voids eligibility for replacement.

Storage and redelivery

If shipment is delayed at the customer's request after manufacturing, storage is arranged at the customer's expense and ownership transfers for invoicing and payment. Changes requested within seven days of the scheduled ship date may be billed at actual freight, storage, and handling cost.

Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for unloading labor, scheduled or inside delivery, call-ahead service, no loading dock, lift-gate service, expedited shipment, re-consignment, storage, redelivery, residential or construction-site delivery, limited truck access, non-business hours, security requirements, trade shows, and school or university delivery.
