Chuck Saylor is the principal of designvox, a human-centered design firm based in East Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is a thought leader in human-centered design and its ability to solve problems, inspire innovation, and create meaningful change.

Before designvox, Chuck was the founder and CEO of izzy+ from 1999 to 2015, a West Michigan-based contract furniture company. Earlier in his career, he held senior management positions at Knoll and Haworth, where he began working in design and development in 1974. He holds 21 patents and has received numerous design awards for his work in the contract furniture industry, including work with BMW. Chuck also served on the board of the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) and as its president until his retirement in 2014.
