surfaceworks awarded mississippi and north carolina contracts

07/01/19

SurfaceWorks has been awarded two contracts: State of Mississippi and State of North Carolina.

The State of Mississippi contract is a negotiated contract awarded by the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration (DFA)—the primary agency responsible for State government financial and administrative options.

Negotiated contracts are entered into when a commodity is used by multiple state agencies and a standard specification fails to meet the needs of a majority of the state agencies. Negotiated contracts allow the using departments to determine individual needs and to procure the most appropriate items at reasonable costs.

Mississippi state contract, number 8200045566 for Furniture (Cafeteria, Dormitory, Library Furniture and Shelving, Lounge, Modular Office, School Furniture, Seating, Wood Desks and Wood Credenzas), is effective July 1, 2019, and extends to June 30, 2020. The contract is available for use by all Mississippi State Agencies.

SurfaceWorks was also awarded a North Carolina state contract. The contract was competitively solicited and awarded by the State of North Carolina Department of Administration (DOA) Division of Purchase and Contract (P&C). The intent of this Statewide Term Contract is to supply the State’s requirements for Furniture throughout the State of North Carolina.

This contract, number 420A for Furniture (Casegoods, Classroom, Bookcases, Computer Furniture, Mobile and Folding Tables, Commercial Dining), is effective July 1, 2019, and extends to June 30, 2022. The contract is mandatory for State Departments and most State Agencies and by State higher education institutions. It may also be utilized, without further exception, by non-mandatory State Agencies and Other Eligible Entities.
